To promote our low cost spay and neuter clinic, Animal Shelter Inc. of Sterling is offering greatly discounted and important veterinary services for friendly, healthy dogs and cats 8+ weeks and 2+ pounds.
80% of dogs and 70% of cats show signs of oral disease by the age of three years of age. Many pet owners do NOT realize that dental disease can be deadly. Bacteria in an animal?s mouth can get into a pet?s bloodstream and infuse different organs, causing infections that can potentially cause death. The organs most often affected by oral diseases are the lungs, heart, kidneys and liver, and even the nervous system.
Signs Of Dental Disease. Pet owners should contact their veterinarian if they notice any of the following: Loose or discolored teeth or teeth covered in tartar – Bad breath – Your pet is not comfortable with you touching within the mouth area – Drooling or dropping food from the mouth – Bleeding from the mouth – Loss of appetite or loss of weight
In addition to promoting Veterinary Dental Awareness Month, our shelter is also celebrating Spay/Neuter Awareness Month 
by offering reduced cost spay/neuter for the month of February. Our on-site veterinary clinic has many programs for dogs and cats in community.

* Micro-chipping dog or cat
* Basic cat dental/cleaning (additional charges apply for extractions/complications)
