Our shelter staff have been working on some unique and fun ways our adopters, supporters, and all pet lovers can help!

Enjoy a day of
pints with pups!

A huge shout out, woofs and purrs to our friends, Jackie and Scott Cullen, Owners and Head Brewer at River Styx Brewery and their entire team for supporting our shelter!

What’s special to us about partnering with River Styx Brewing? They are focused on creating a family friendly environment. They invite you to bring your kids and dogs! Pints and Pups, what could be better?

We hope you’ll join us and the amazing team from River Styx Brewery on the launch their new brew, Quad Venom, the quadruple version of Venom of Cerberus.

Quad Venom and the actual CAN release will be at 12 noon. Our shelter staff and volunteers will be there with some fun items to give away and raffle off from 2 pm - 6 pm. Ten percent (10%) of all merchandise, food, and pours form over a dozen brews on draft will benefit our furry shelfter friends, pets, and programs!

Our FREE spay/neuter voucher day is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15th.
Our DOG slots are full, but we still have 20 slots open for cats to be spayed or neutered.

• If you have a voucher and would like to schedule an appointment for your pet, contact the shelter.

We heard your wishes! Our shelter finally has a beautiful NEW Amazon Wish List for the shelter. Now it is super easy to donate much needed items from our wish list.

The shelter is always in need of some basics and now donating is easy! Our list of supplies is inexpensive and short, but an easy way for you to help the shelter keep our furry friends happy during their stay with us.

Book your March fur baby photo session! We all know, your dog is downright adorable, but it isn't easy to capture that in pictures. Lisa Boisvert, from Wildside Photography can help capture that amazing money shot of your pooch! Your dog deserves star quality pictures. So a year or two decades from now, you will remember that loving look or that unique tilt of the head.

Our shelter loves to support our amazing volunteers, no matter what their profession is, and we hope you’ll support them, too. We couldn’t do all we do, without their help and support! Lisa Boisvert of Wildside Photography donates her own time and equipment, taking beautiful photos of our shelter pets and cropping, editing, and posting the pictures to our website. Without these beautiful pictures, we don’t think all these pets would be adopted as fast as they are by loving homes!

Lisa will be hosting a March Mini Sessions with your Furry Family Members for the month of March. These sessions will be roughly 30 minutes for $35. Super
affordable, beautiful and full family photos that can be used as gifts for the family/friends – think photos for future Holiday cards and so on. All photos will be put in an online gallery for you to pick from. Sessions will be held in Lisa’s studio in Gardner, MA located at 205 School Street. A portion of of the proceeds will benefit our furry friends.

A little information on Lisa.
My goal at Wild Side Photography is to capture your memories. I want to give you something for you to look back on, pass down, hold on too. Memories last forever. Families,, friends, people come and go, but memories are here to stay. And photos are a way to do this. I offer fun and relaxed sessions and affordable prices. Message me for information. I love photographing in natural light. I also try to add that edgy flair when doing portfolio work. Portrait photography is my passion, it is so exciting to work with people and learn about them. It is amazing what a story a photo can tell. Whether it is watching your newly adopted pet grow into toddlers, special days, anniversary of your pets adoption, having a fun outdoor shoot or just exploring. A photograph tells many stories.

Just a few ideas for YOUR pooches photo shoot/s over the next year:

• Pet Adoption Anniversaries or How about an Adoption Announcement?
  Not into the messy cake smash? Instead, do a regular birthday themed session, only with pet accessories! You can do this at a studio or outside, keep in mind that if it’s in a public place, the pets may be distracted.

• Puppy Cake Smash
  This is similar to a one-year-old baby’s cake smash session, but instead you have a one-year-old fur baby eating cake for their birthday! If you are getting the cake for this session, make sure it has doggy-approved ingredients. These days, there are many gourmet pet bakeries (barkeries!), so consider this an opportunity to collaborate and network!

• Puppy Milestones
  Set this up in a studio or at an outside location, and follow the same milestone timeline for newborn sessions. Only instead of capturing a growing baby, you’re photographing the stages of a puppy growing up! Take pictures on the following: 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, one year.

Now that spring is right around the corner, it's time to get outside and get some fresh air. Why not do it with your favorite furry four-legged friend?
